At the end of 2012 Unipart Automotives Limited moved their offices away from the main Unipart House Head Office and into a disused warehouse that was suitable for their distribution and administration centre. This warehouse had previously been occupied by Oxfam for use as their HQ.
The warehouse was converted into a Corporate HQ by first being completely gutted by the developer. Separate space was created for the board of directors offices along with a large open plan area housing 60 additional managerial and administrative staff.
Austin Broady Air Conditioning and Ventilation Limited were asked to design the Air Conditioning and Ventilation systems for the office spaces, board rooms, meeting rooms and all the open plan areas.
We also designed, supplied and installed all the sanitary ware, hot and cold water services and above ground drainage.
Along with this we designed a full heating and cooling system for the large open plan area covering approximately 60m x 40m. This involved a heat recovery system complete with a Toshiba heat recovery VRF air conditioning system. We ensured that the control system installed will suitable for future connections to a BMS.
